Mad Men

I caught these two in an apparent mad-dog contest while I was taking photos of our friends Kasey and Tarah a few weeks ago.

Aw, but they made up and were quickly friends again.

Evening in the Field

The field behind our house is covered in wildflowers right now, a nice change from the usual vegetable crop. I am obsessed with taking photos out there because how often am I going to have such a gorgeous setting steps away from my house? This is the first time I can remember that they've let the soil "rest" like this, so I am taking full advantage. And oh, there are more to come.

Most Photographed Kid Ever

This isn't the post I wanted to start our revival of the blog with, but I am having some technical issues with the video I had planned on showing. Apparently we need Quicktime Pro or something to rotate videos? I don't know, but don't have time to figure it out so....

Here is one of the many MANY photographs I have taken of B in his short little life so far. This is one for my 365: A Year of Baby project which I will post here as well. Ain't he cute? We thinks so. Thanks to Nana Rankin for the cute hat.

Happy Belated Birthday

Our dog Maisy turned one on 7-7-07 (lucky dog). We aren't "buy our dog a birthday cake" people, but I at least wanted to take a nice photo of her. She's so freakin' cute, but moves around too much especially when I pull out my camera. This time I got smart though and tricked her with treats. So the reason she's staring up at the ceiling is not because she's following my direction and holding a classic 3/4 professional portraiture pose, it's because she wants that Trader Joes chicken stick.

A couple times she couldn't handle it any longer. Happy birthday Maisy! I love you, but am so glad you're half-way through your puppy stage ; )
